How Do You Use a Smart-Glasses Teleprompter at a Trade Show?
- by NeoKnox
On RayNeo iO, a trade show teleprompter comes down to four moves: prepare the script in the RayNeo AI App, send it to the glasses with Play on Glasses, choose the scroll mode that suits each slot, and steer it with the Smart Crown on the right temple. The script lives directly on your lenses, so you read the pitch while keeping eye contact with visitors instead of looking down at notes or a monitor.
iO's teleprompter runs on four pieces, and each one has a simple show-day setting.
| Piece | How it works on iO | Show-day setup |
|---|---|---|
| Script | Created in, or imported into, the RayNeo AI App (TXT, DOC, DOCX, PDF) | Import every version the night before and pin the booth pitch |
| Phone-to-glasses link | Bluetooth 5.4 with MFi certification, RayNeo AI App kept running | Pair once at home or in the hotel |
| Pacing | Smart Follow, Auto Scroll, or Manual Control | Rehearse in all three, then give each slot its own mode |
| Control | Smart Crown click and rotate, with phone control synced in real time | Smart Crown on the glasses, or the phone at the counter |
The Bluetooth and MFi details are in our iO compatibility guide.
First activation happens on the charging clip: connected to a power source, the glasses activate automatically. Setup then takes three steps in the RayNeo AI App: install the app, sign in to or register a RayNeo account, and pair the glasses over Bluetooth from the Glasses tab. Doing all of it at home or in the hotel keeps the booth free for talking.
After the first pairing, there is no need to pair the glasses again each time you use them. With Bluetooth on and the RayNeo AI App running, unfolding the temples reconnects the glasses automatically.
Scripts benefit from the same early start. Imports keep the text, with formatting removed and images filtered out. Scripts are sorted by update time, and a swipe to the right pins one, which keeps the booth version at the top. More on script setup is in our walkthrough of iO's captions, meeting notes and teleprompter.
Display fit belongs in the same session. Tapping Adjust in the Glasses tab sets the display height and the near/far effect, and the included nose pad kit comes with bridges in multiple sizes, so swapping to the right one aligns your eyes for a complete, clear view of the display.
iO's three teleprompting modes let you match pacing to each slot on the show schedule.
Rehearsing each pitch in all three modes the night before means each slot already has its mode when the doors open.
iO also offers presets for Video, Voiceover, Speech, and Default, plus adjustable display distance, screen size, display height, text size, text width, line spacing, and display depth. The display itself reaches 1300 nits eye-level brightness, and brightness can be adjusted by voice through RayNeo AI. Teleprompter settings stay inside the teleprompter, so a larger booth font will not change how notifications or captions look later.
Once the doors open, starting and steering the script takes a few clicks.
iO is rated for up to two days of everyday use from its 240mAh battery, with 63 hours of standby while worn. When the glasses are not in use, folding the temples and setting them down gives the best standby time. A feature-by-feature look at power draw is in our iO battery life breakdown.

iO charges in two ways:

RayNeo X3 Pro takes a different route. It is a standalone AI+AR platform with its own processor, storage, operating system (RayNeo AIOS), Wi-Fi, and battery. Google Gemini is built in, so you can ask questions by voice and see the answers in your field of view, and a teleprompter is one of its built-in tools alongside navigation, a music player, and the camera. Its full-color display reaches 3,500 nits average and 6,000 nits peak brightness, and it responds to five-dimensional temple touch controls, voice, or a phone used as an air mouse.
| RayNeo iO | RayNeo X3 Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Weight | 33g | 76 ± 1g |
| Camera | Camera-free | 12MP main camera plus spatial camera |
| Display | Monochrome green | Full color |
| How it runs | Paired to your phone over Bluetooth | Standalone, with its own Wi-Fi |
| Main controls | Smart Crown, voice, head gestures | Temple touch controls, voice |
| Battery and charging | 240mAh, up to 2 days of everyday use; clip or charging case | 245mAh, full charge in about 38 minutes over USB-C |
iO's ultra-light 33g design keeps it comfortable for all-day wear, which suits long shifts at the booth. X3 Pro suits exhibitors who also want navigation, Gemini answers, and capture on the same pair.

I wear prescription glasses. Can iO carry my prescription?
For a booth pitch, RayNeo iO ($499) puts the whole routine in a 33g frame: scripts prepared on your phone, Bluetooth to the glasses, the Smart Crown in hand, and a scroll mode matched to every slot on the schedule. For pitch wording, see our trade show talking-points guide. Exhibitors who want one standalone device for prompting, navigation, and capture can look at X3 Pro.
