TCL NXTWEAR S
The TCL NXTWEAR Sglasses support USB Type-C device with the DP (Display port) function which including the smart phone, laptop, iPad.
If your Type-C device do not support display port function, a wired adapter or a wireless adapter is needed for connecting your device TCL NXTWEAR S. The iPhone device requires an additional wired adapter or wireless adapter due to its unique transfer protocol and limitations.
Notice:The 3D function of the TCL NXTWEAR S glasses cannot work properly on an Android device that do not support DP and iPhone device, only can be used as mirror images, when using the adapter
The device doesn’tfeature an on/off function. Connect the smart glasses to a device that supports the DP (DisplayPort) output and it’s ready to use.
Download the app to your smartphone and plug in the glasses. You will be able to see the emission of rays. You can control the ray position by swinging the phone up, down, left, and right, clicking to select, and swiping left and right on the phone screen with one finger to turn the pages in the application. Click the "Home" button on the phone screen to return to the desktop.
1)Please try to re-enter the TCL AR APP.
2)Too many apps running in the background or the system cache not being cleared may cause TCL AR APP freeze, try to clear the apps which running in the background, or restart your phone, then re-enter the TCL AR APP.
The device doesn’t feature a microphone or camera to support such features.
The TCL NXTWEAR S glasses does not support wireless connectivity, the wireless connection of the mobile phone requires an external wireless projector in addition.
The size of the virtual imaging on the screen is not adjustable.
TCL NXTWEAR S XR Glasses do not support HDR.
Normally, the interpupillary distance is between 58-69mm. The glasses may not adapt to the interpupillary distance which is beyond this range
Samsung mobile phones have two working modes: DEX and non-DEX mode. Only non-DEX mode can support TCL AR APP. Please turn off the DEX mode in the phone settings before using our APP.
The language of TCL AR APP is switchedaccording to the language setting of the mobile phone system. Please change the language in the mobile phone settings. Currently, TCL AR APP only support eight languages, including English, Japanese, German, French, Italian, Spanish, and Traditional Chinese. English is the default language if your native language is not including in these eight languages.
This is normal phenomenon in the XR glasses industry. We recommend you to adjust the angle of the nose pad to find a suitable watching position.
A prescription lenses fitting box is included in TCL NXTWEAR S package. You can take the prescription lenses fitting to the nearby optical shop, and ask an optician to help adjust it to the prescription that suits you.
Since some streaming video APPs have adopted copyright protection for some video sources, we recommend you to change the video source or APP and try again.

This is normal phenomenon in the XR glasses industry. The sound is to balance the bass effect.
If you want to connect TCL NXTWEAR S XR Glasses with game consoles such as Switch, PS, or XBOX, you need to connect them with an HDMI adapter.
If the color gamut of the device is different from the color gamut of the screen, certain chromatic aberration may appear. There is not problem with the product itself.
There are two ways for watching 3D videos on glasses:
1) Open a streaming video app insides the TCL AR APP to watch videos;
2) When you use the mirroring function, you can long press the brightness dial on the right temple and switch to 3D mode. Please note that the video source needsto be 3D and the player you use should support 3D movies (such as vlc player).
First, you should select the extension mode in the Windows screen casting mode. Second, connect the glasses with your device, then long press the right button of the glasses for a few seconds, the glasses will be switched to 3D mode. Third, open the 3D video in VLC player. Fourth, drag the player to the extended screen, and select full-screen playback in the player.
1) Please download and install the TCL AR APP to your device to enjoy the 3D function. Only 2D function can be used on your device without using the APP.Notice: TCL AR APP do not support iPhone and computer device now.
2) The 3D function of the TCL NXTWEAR S glasses cannot work properly on an Android device that do not support DP and iPhone device, only can be usedas mirror images, when using the adapter.
No response:
1) Make sure your device support display port function; please contact the seller from which you bought your phone to check whether the phone supports the display port function.
2) Make sure your glasses magnetic cable was well attachedin the right direction.
Unstable connection:
1) Check if there is any visible damage to the USB port of your device. If yes, contact your smart phone repair center to get more professional technical assistance.
2) Check if the magnetic connector is loose or have dusts and other foreign bodies inside, clean the magnetic connector and try again.
If the problem persists, please contact our repair center to get more professional technical assistance.
1) Loose or discrete magnetic connector will lead to disconnection of the black screen. Please reconnect the magnetic cable and try again.
2) Your smart phone connect TCL NXTWEAR Sglasses might cause large power supply,which leads to signal breaks up. Please go to TCL ARapp->“Settings”->“Properties”-> “Brightness” to reduce the glasses brightness. Alternatively, press the volume down key of your smart phone to lower the volume of the glasses.

2) Touch to open TCL AR app, go to “Settings”on the glasses screen->touch “Properties”to disable“Always-on”function.If the problem persists, take your device and proof of purchase to one of our repair centers to get more professional technical assistance
To experience the interface switch feature, you need to enable the global mode in TCL AR app,go to “Settings”->“Properties”->enable “Widescreen mode”
Please go to “Settings”-> “Properties”->adjust “Head sensitivity”
1) Brightness: adjust the brightness by controlling the knob on the right leg of the glasses or within the app.Please refer to below pic.
2) Volume: adjust the volume by controlling the knob on the left leg of the glasses or within the app, please refer to below pic.
3) 2D/3D mode: switch the 2D/3D mode by pressing and holding the knob on the right leg of the glasses for 2 seconds.
While watching movie on the glasses, the phone screen should be unlocked. Please try to wake up and unlock your phone to watch movie on glasses again. Notice: When the phone is in 3D mode, you may see two pictures in the glasses because picture in phone lock screen is 2D picture. Just wake up and unlock the phone to continue watching 3D movie.
The navigation ray will be hidden after 2 seconds when you are watching movie in glasses, The navigation ray will appear when you re-click the phone screen
If your Type-C Android device do not support display port function or your device is aniPhone, it does not support 3D video play.
1) To play the 3D video which storage in the phone storage, you need to choose“2D” or “3D” format at the right side on the play interface. .
Note: TCL NXTWEAR S glasses support a 3D movie in the side-by-side format.
2) Make sure your Type-C port on your phone support the DP (Display port) function
Please go back to the phone home screen to watch the video in YouTube, Netflix, Instagram etc., and those apps are not intergraded in TCL AR APP.
1) If your phone are running TCL AR APP, the message, phone call notification will not display on the glasses, you need to check them on your phone.
2) If you using the glasses just as mirror images, you can see the message and phone call notification on the glasses. Please reply the message or phone call on your phone.
The App itself has a design that after inserting glasses, it will enter 3D mode directly after opening the TCL AR APP, and change to 2D after exiting the App.When the app switching the mode in the background, the HUAWEI mobile phone will check that the glasses are switching frequently between 2D and 3D, and think that there is a problem with the connection, soit may appear the error message.
Disconnect and re-connect the glasses when prompted
Yes. Even though the glasses are of a high standard of craftsmanship, the screen will gradually increase in terms of the heat given out after a long period of usage due to the high brightness and high-resolution performance.
The Sony.68 panel we adopted has the lowest power consumption in the industry. By testing, the temperature of our glasses do not exceed 37 celsius in normal situations. If you feel hot, we recommend you to take a break after using the glasses for more than2 hours.
1) Connect the TCL NXTWEAR S glasses to your smart phone.
2) Touch to open TCL AR app, go to “Settings”->touch “Upgrade” from the glasses screen.
3) Touch the icon behind the “Software Upgrade” for TCL AR APP upgrade, then your phone will begin to download the latest app, follow the instruction to finish app upgrade on the phone.
4) Touch the icon behind the “Glasses firmware upgrade” for TCL NXTWEAR S glasses upgrade, then your phone will begin to download the latest firmware, follow the instruction to finish app upgrade on the phon.
Portable adapter (for TCL NXTWEAR S)
When an adapter is powered off, the battery will be dead after 20 days' storage under normal condition.
The adapter can be used with smart glasses for about 2.5 hours.
There is no power key on the adapter. The adapter will be powered on automatically when inserting a smart glass.
After turning on the phone, insert the mobile phone first, then insert the glasses. The points are defective. Sometimes, it is required to insert the glasses first and then the mobile phone
Please make sure the mute function is not enabled, otherwise the audio will come out from your phone.
First, please make sure that the adapter has power and is turned on. Under this situation, both the green light and white light are on. If the green light or white light is off, it is likely that the adapter is out of power, please try the following solutions: a. Charge the adapter for more than one hour; b. Replace the charger and try again; c. Replace the charging cable and try again.
For Android phone users, you should make sure that the Screencasting Assistant APP has been installed and opened, and you have agreed to the access request in the pop-up window.
The PD charger of port A is not supported.The customer needs to replace a regular USB cable or another PD adapter other than port A.
The adapter needs to be charged for more than half an hour. If it cannot be charged, please replace the charger or charging cable and then try again.
For IOS users:
1) You can download the Mirroring APP in the app store.
2) You can scan the QR code in the manual and download the APP;
For Android users:
1) You can download the Mirroring APP in Google App Store.
2) After connecting to the glasses, you will see a pop-up window. You can download the app according to its instruction.

For Android users, the adapter cannot work without installing the Mirroring APP.
You can try the following solutions:
1) Exit the APP and then reopen it.
2) Reboot your phone.
3) Re-download the APP.
4) Reboot the adapter: unplug all cables and wait for the white light of the adapter disappear, then connect the glasses to the adapter first, and connect the mobile phone
with the adapter.
5) Check whether the connection is loose or not.
Please download the app, connecting to a phone, and make sure the adapter’s battery capacity is more than 25% or the adapter is being charged.
